Si no gritas te mantan

Si no gritas, Intervention, 2015

"Si no gritas te matan" (If You Don't Scream, They Kill You) is an artistic intervention that challenges the conventional boundaries between art and advertising. Through elements of performance, this captivating project sends a powerful message into the void, addressing human rights issues that are often ignored or diluted in our society.

By directing our attention to the overwhelming deluge of news about ongoing injustices in the world, "Si no gritas" invites us to reflect on the ephemerality of our social consciousness. In a world where attention is quickly consumed and problems can be easily forgotten, this artwork confronts us with the reality that a simple outcry may have little impact compared to the vast array of superficial and seductive messages that surround us.

The work presented in "Si no gritas" takes various forms, including a book that compiles the manifesto underpinning the piece and a digital record containing all the performances carried out. These artworks document and preserve the striking interventions conducted in diverse public spaces, capturing the essence of each moment and conveying its message with unparalleled intensity and authenticity.

Visiting this exhibition, viewers will be challenged to reflect on their own participation in defending human rights and question the role they play in disseminating meaningful messages in an information-saturated world. "Si no gritas" is an experience that transcends the barriers of traditional art, inviting us to explore the intersection between creative power and social urgency.
