Sâmun
Proyecto Calima

Sâmun is a project within the larger scope of Calima that explores the impact of sudden desert storms, known as "samûn," which bring extreme temperatures exceeding 129°F and create small cyclones of dust and sand that cover the affected areas. These storms can lead to suffocation and pose risks to both humans and animals.

The artwork aims to depict the consequences of these sudden storms on the landscape and the futile efforts sometimes made to prevent their effects. It draws inspiration from the symbol of the uroboros, representing the cyclical nature of time and the continuity of the image. The project features representations captured in various environments across the Spanish territory.

The outcome of this artistic investigation was presented at the Mofuta Gallery in Barcelona.
