Made in

Made In, Sculpture,

Alicante, 2013

"Made In" is a sculpture that examines the entire process related to mass production, offering a critique of the ways in which it is carried out.

Drawing inspiration from the factory setting, this artwork serves as a denouncement of the problems inherent in production: the exploitation of people, including children, who often work in unfair and inhumane conditions, the abuse of certain raw materials, and the dangers associated with the alteration and manipulation of others, depleting the Earth's resources and endangering consumer health.

"Made In" encompasses these and other issues that arise from the conditions in which products of all kinds are designed, managed, constructed, sold, and acquired within a social bubble that, even consciously, remains indifferent and detached.

The scope is broad, as any object that comes from capitalism is subject to this pattern. From "Made in China" to "Made in Pakistan" to "Made in Spain," no country is exempt from this mode of operation, from which few benefit while many are harmed.

This artwork invites us to reflect on the ethical and social implications of mass production, questioning the underlying economic system. Through its visual and conceptual critique, "Made In" confronts us with individual and collective responsibility in choosing the products we consume and encourages us to reevaluate the value we place on labor, natural resources, and environmental impact.

It is a provocative and confrontational piece, prompting reflection on the intricacies of mass production and its impact on society and the environment. "Made In" invites you to be aware and take action towards a change to a more just and sustainable system.
