Playa del inglés

Project Beyond the Information Given

Photography, Playa del Inglés, 2019

The series immerses us in an artistic journey that combines lunar aesthetics, contemporary culture, and science. Through this fusion, we are invited to reflect on our relationship with space and explore the implications of space exploration in our society.

In this series, the importance of understanding the rules and limitations of an unknown environment is highlighted, much like in the Canary Islands, whose history, biodiversity, tourist potential, and strategic location make them a place of great cultural, economic, and geopolitical relevance. By preserving and promoting the natural and cultural heritage of the Canary Islands, we assume a shared responsibility to ensure a prosperous and sustainable future for this unique region in Spain.

Furthermore, the artistic work in "Playa del Inglés" emphasizes the importance of understanding cultural and religious norms in unfamiliar environments, just as in space exploration, where it is necessary to comprehend and respect the different cultures and traditions of the places we visit. Emphasis is also placed on safety and the preservation of the environment, reminding us of the importance of caring for and protecting our surroundings both on Earth and in space.

This artistic series invites us to delve into a profound reflection on our relationship with space, exploration, and the impact our actions can have on the places we visit. It challenges us to consider the ethical and social implications of space exploration while reminding us of the importance of preserving and valuing the natural and cultural treasures that surround us.

"Beyond the Information Given" provides us with an artistic experience that expands our horizons, challenges us to question our perceptions, and invites us to explore space from a multidimensional perspective. It serves as a reminder that our knowledge and understanding of the world are constantly expanded by art and science, and that as human beings, it is our responsibility to care for and protect both our planet and the worlds we may discover in the future.
